Beach trip with the missionary kids living on the ship. Bonfire, hotdogs, marshmallows....good times, good times!

Hanging out the back of a taxi at high speeds. No worries mum....
Actually nearly got arrested on this particular outing.

Some of my good friends : Michael, Jon (my old room mate), Jens, Caitlin, Lee-Anne, John, Laura and Drew (my current room mate).

Pigging out at a UN Phillipino party.

Waterside marketplace. You might be able to see the MV Anastasis in the distance.

Cool little fella keeping hydrated.

Looking down from the markets at the river. As you can see people live in shacks along the river, where children scrounge around trash piles looking for anything of value to them. Needless to say conditions here are troubling. In the distance are 2 buildings that were destroyed during the war. Now thousands of squatters inhabit these buildings.

Annette and I went down to visit the children that live at the trash pile.

Lining the river are multiple public restrooms like this one.

This is my friend Bethany looking out at Monrovia from one of these delapidated buildings. People living in the shacks surrounding the beach spend their time cooling off in the sea water, despite the fact that around the corner the river is a public restroom.

Inside the destroyed buildings live thousands of people, cramped into dark, cruel, unsanitary rooms lining these long corridors.

Hanging with my homie...

One weekend we went out to Monkey Island. Monkey Island is near an animal research facility, that was recently closed down by animal rights organisations. The chimps in the facility were released onto islands nearby. We charted this canoe for a total of $12US, the captain taking us on a 1.5 hour round trip. TOUGH guy!

The chimps were a lot bigger than I had imagined, and a few had limbs missing. We threw out coconuts to the chimps for a snack, and they would pound them against a rock and drink the milk.

A child's playground in a war torn country.

UN convoys common to Liberia.

My new ride.

Delicacies for the hungry. Fly infested, sun rotted, chicken feet and meat.

Walking down the road with some cows, in Liberia's Capital City.

My favorite past time, chillin' at the beach.
